I have a confession…. I have days of feeling overwhelmed too!
It is hard for me to say that on multiple levels because:
1) This is my business.
2) I’m an expert on this.
3) I fear people will doubt my abilities.
But Guess What?
· I am running two businesses
· I am running two not for profits.
· I serve in multiple capacities at church.
· I am activity in Town activities.
· I am a homeowner.
· I am living through the pandemic.
· I am a partner/ girlfriend.
· I am a caring friend.
· I am a niece, a cousin, a Godmother.
· I am HUMAN!
Just like you, I am living the chaos of a full life and through a pandemic that does not seem to be ending! I get busy, I get tired I get stressed, but guess what else.
· I am strong enough to admit it!
· I am able to recognize the signs.
· I am able to give myself grace.
· I am able to recharge.
· I am not alone.
· I am able to learn from my mistakes.
· I am able to stop the negative self-talk.
· I am able to refocus.
· I am able to breath.
But most of all, I am able to help you get through these feelings, because I have experienced them. I have fallen down and gotten back up.
I have found ways to minimize the impact, to shorten the duration, and to move forward.
It takes strength to admit we are not perfect and that we need support.
The old expression “It takes a village” does not just apply to children, because we are all constantly growing and developing as people. It takes a village to keep moving forward.
Matthew Kelly shared these words in the book Decision Point, “Nobody achieves excellence without coaching.”
